Last week the flu invaded and canceled all HybridWorks Network podcasts, so this week we're super sized!

From Astro Boy to Attack on Titan to Big O to Space Dandy we devote an entire episode to the medium that Japanese people call cartoons! All leading up to Nick and Mitch's new segment "Tales From The East" a look into anime, Manga, and Movies from Korea, China, and of Course Japan.

What If...

Movierama
Michael Douglas has been cast to play Hank Pym in Ant-Man which leads most of us to believe that Paul Rudd will than be playing Scott Lang

Bill Paxton, who has graced this podcast quite a bit with his voice, will be gracing our televisions for four episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. He will be playing a character ripped from the comics, John Garrett. Also while on the subject of Agents, Stan Lee will guest star as will Lady Sif, Jaimie Alexander though not on the same episodes.

Max Landis, son of legendary director John Landis and writer of the box office hit Chronicle, has now signed on to write a Houdini biopic.

DC comics has green lit a Constantine series on NBC. Hopefully this will be more like the comics than the Keanu Reeves movie.

Trailer Talk:"Doomed!" the story about the movie that almost wasn't but still really wasn't.

Batman Vs Superman has been pushed back till 2016. Not sure why but sounds like DC is scared of Marvel.

The Fantastic Four reboot is going into it's casting phase by the end of the month... Wouldn't mind the Michael B Jordan rumor being true if Sue Storm is played by Gabrielle Union or Zoe Saldana.

Tarantino gets little bitch of the year. Apparently he let out 6 copies of a script for his next movie, Hateful Eight, and someone leaked it... This was a personal betrayal apparently. Seriously who gives out the whole fucking script if they don't have an embargo in place?

Gaming Corner
Unsung Story: Tale of the Guradians, a new game from Yasumi Matsuno, the designer of Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story, has just been announced with a kickstarter campaign.

Call of Duty fan will be able to play as Michael Myers in the new DLC for CoD: Ghosts. Why is that cool? I'm not sure but if you could play as Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kruger, or Ghostface using only their melee weapons, that would be awesome.

The Game, Evolve, which we talked a bit about already may not have a release date yet but it does already have preorder perks. The giant monster pack will be free with preorders.

The Last of Us: Left Behind prequel dlc arrives 2/14
The Wolf Among Us due out first week of February

A judge ruled apple had to pay parents back whose kids "accidentally" bought apps and in app products

The steam controller now has buttons instead of a touch pad... Two giant fucking buttons.

Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Returns demo on 360 only for now. Odd considering the strong relationship between Sony and Square Enix.

Final Fantasy VI launched on android.

Microsoft and Machinima are in the cross hairs of an ethical conundrum. It's been leaked that Microsoft was paying Machinima to get YouTubers to only say good things about the Xbox One. While this is not technically illegal because it's YouTube, it is unethical... Kind of like lying about DRM... Isn't that right Sony?
