We're going to take this as pure rumor... Ready?... The in development hell Neil Gaiman book Sandman may finally get a movie because JGL is in talks to star and possibly direct the film version. Like I said this is a rumor.

So who thought they should make a Gilligan's Island remake? Don't worry we won't hurt you or anything... The guilt of knowing that you want a big budget film remake that is actually going to happen should consume you and force your hand on it's own.

Studio Ghibli has announced it's first outing in a post Miyazaki world. Haoyo Miyazaki (Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Ponyo) had announced his retirement from directing earlier this year stating that THE WIND RISES would be his last film. Studio Ghibli has decided that they will not retire with the acclaimed director and release WHEN MARNIE WAS THERE next year.

2 movies that haven't aged as well as their stars are getting sequels because Hollywood is really out of ideas. So we'll be getting sequels of SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE and ROUNDERS.

Developer Obsidian has removed the scene entirely. This is all set to a back drop of a Koala crying. Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment's Worldwide Studios seems like a pretty cool dude. When asked by an audience member on a recent TV appearance about rival Nintendo's poor sales, he praised Mario 3D World and claimed to own two Wii U's. "People can get together and enjoy [the Wii U], it's got plenty of wonderful games." Yoshida said. "Nintendo helps raise and teaches the fun of games to people just starting out. I think that's a very important thing in this industry." So Nintendo had a Nintendo Direct, among other announcements. Most notable: -3DS and Wii U eshop in japan confirmed to be getting PC Engine (i.e. Turbografx 16) and MSX support. So far, Gradius and Parodius are confirmed. No word on when they will reach North America - Dr. Luigi. Not sure what else to say here. - Hyrule Warriors. Dynasty Warriors gameplay in the Zelda world. Not that odd- the setting fits the playstyle, and they did put out a bunch of these featuring freaking Gundams. -Kirby confirmed for Mario Kart 8. Rosalina and Luma confirmed for Smash. No, I don't know who they are. -Announced Mario 3 for both Wii U and 3DS on the 26th...for Europe. No confirmation on North America, yet. Nor Zelda 3. Screw them.

   What is Gotham without Bruce Wayne? Said a fox executive apparently. So now a young Wayne will play an important role in the stories of the GCPD and Detective Gordon.

   From Gotham to Metropolis, some more news about Batman Vs. Superman. Apparently Ben Affleck has something in his contract that says the bad guy in any comic book movie he does has to be black. A new rumor says that WB is looking for a black Lex Luthor, with Denzel on the short list.

   There is going to be an It's a Wonderful Life sequel. I have no jokes. Only that I hope it prays to never be born and get it's wish.

   A ten year old girl saved her mother's life by watching Mrs. Doubtfire. Her mother was choking and she remembered how the title character used the Heimlich maneuver and saved her mom's life.

   R2D2 is the first to be cast in episode VII. And zero fucks were given on this day.

   Winona Ryder wants back in on Beetlejuice 2. Still no fucks were given.

   The Best Man Holiday is getting a sequel. Again not a single fuck given.

   Arrow's title character will finally get a mask. Guess how many fucks... Yep zero.

Four new series in the marvel studios "canon" have been announced. All being made for Netflix the characters in these shows are Daredevil and 3 others that shouldn't be completely split up, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist... Jessica is the wife of Cage and Iron Fist is his friend and hetero life mate.So also with Thor 2 out and basically a 3 man podcast, we're gonna explore what the mid credits scene in Thor 2 means for Marvel Studios characters. New characters, new items, and a possible end game for current franchises.

Ghostbusters 3 could start filming with Jonah Hill and Emma Stone in early 2014.... Or so the newest rumor wants us to believe... How many 80s franchises does Hill have to be in? And will Stone do the impression of Annie Potts she did in Zombieland for Bill Fucking Murry who subsequently won't be in this iteration of Ghostbusters?

So The Conjuring already is getting a sequel but apparently that's not enough. So we're getting three micro budget films the first being Annabelle based on the creepy fucking doll from the original movie.

Sin City 2 has a slightly different subtitle. The powers that be have decided to change it from Sin City: A Dame to Kill For to Sin City: A Dame to Die For.

Kevin Smith, during the latest Hollywood Babble-On, remarked that he has seen Batfleck in full costume. Though the podcast bleeped out what artist it seemed influenced the new "mind blowing" suit that we "have never seen in film".
Though some people that claim to have been at the taping on Saturday say the name that was censored was Jim Lee.

Guillermo Del Toro says that he's waiting to hear from DC about their plans for a DCCU (if you will) before he starts filming his Dark Universe movie. This confirms that DC is actually planning a larger unified cinematic world.

   Carlos Fresnadillo, the director of 28 Weeks Later, is attached to helm a reboot of Pet Sematary. Seriously who buried the rights to that film there? Probably the same guy who buried It.. Which is also being remake as two films.

   Everyone's favorite uncommon horror movie, Sleep Away Camp, has been optioned to be remade. I doubt it'll go even as far as the original but whatever.

   Also being remade or reimagined or something, The Addams Family. This time it'll be animated! Excited? Yeah me either.

   Finally for remake news, Star Blazers! The old anime is being retooled as a live action movie! Yeah!

   Two Chris' have joined Horrible Bosses 2. Capt Kirk and the Jew Hunter will make horrible bosses for our protagonists. 

   Keanu Reeves will star in a romantic version of Pandorum... Don't remember that film?

   The plot of the Marvel/Ben Kingsley secret project has been revealed... Kind of... Well it's rumored by Latino Review... So it's pretty much on that edge of fact that is still rumor but it's probably gonna happen... So rumor is that marvel heard the cries of outrage from fans about The Mandarin or lack there of in Iron Man 3. So in a one shot that may appear in the Thor 2 DVD or on the CapAm 2 DVD, The real mutha fuckin' Mandarin will take his vengeance on Killian (still alive!) and Trevor Slatery who was played by Kingsley. Which actually fits in nicely with the plot of Lego Marvel Superheroes and the centipede organization of S.H.I.E.L.D. Using tech from Iron Man 3.

  My favorite bit of news for this Halloween; Trick r' Treat 2 is now in preproduction and hopefully filming by next year. Although no plot is certain, we will definitely see Sam again in this sequel. 

   The walking dead is only a few episodes in and has already been renewed for season 5. Anyone else want a Michone/Daryl romance?
